We always capture those special memories when creating layouts. We've got that "perfect" picture depicting a birthday, a milestone, a holiday or even a trip. But what about those those memories capturing your feelings? When your picture isn't that perfect, but then again, it is. I have a layout to share with you today that captures one of those moments, when the picture tells the story.
I chose to do a layout about myself and my inner struggles with my mom's illness, Alzheimers. The past year was an extremely difficult one for me emotionally. It was hard for me to use this picture as I don't think it is very flattering, but it shows me in the moment, sad and lost.
My title, so befitting . . . and a beautiful Purple Pumpkin paper doily and butterfly.
Here I've used a Purple Pumpkin Fabric button which represents me looking out for my mom.
I've tucked a fabric button here
and
here I've placed a Purple Pumpkin cameo.
I hope I have inspired you with my layout.
Thanks for stopping by!
. . . Debbie

Well done Debbie - this is what scrapbooking is all about - capturing the good & the bad. Your struggle is part of what makes you who you are and documenting your Mum's illness will in some way help you deal with how to help her I'm sure.
I hope 2013 is a much brighter one for you.
Beautiful layout. I like the Idea of scrapbooking the different moments in ones life be it sad, or happy. Hope you have a really great year. x
Oh Debbie your page is beautiful and really touched my heart. My mum passed away in September last year afer a 10 year battle with Altzheimers. It is such a cruel disease. My heart goes out to you and your family.
Hugs Sarah xx
