The Joker by Judith

Good morning, Judith here to share a recent layout I have created using Purple Pumpkin goodies.
I thought these photos of DS fooling around went very well with the oversized Joker card that came in one of my Purple Pumpkin goodie bags and I wanted to create a bright colourful layout to match the mood.

Here are a couple of close ups.
In this one I have put a blue bird  fabric button on top of a blue vinyl cog.

Here I have used a red/blue vinyl star round, and I have tucked a blue ticket under the card. (There is also a red ticket diagonally opposite). I have also used some strips of red zigzag washi tape.

Nearly half way through the month. Why don't you give our sketch challenge a go. Dont forget anyone can win!!

Dance by Debbie Burns

Good morning everyone, Debbie here with you today to share a layout I created for a Page Maps Challenge.  I love working with a white background, but I have to admit it's hard to get a decent picture, especially since the last few days it has been cloudy and raining here.
I snagged the adorable pictures from my friend's FB page.  When I saw them I thought of the song by Lee Ann Womack, I Hope You Dance.  I printed out the lyrics of the song and included them on my layout.

Love adding clusters to my layouts.
Here I have used a Purple Pumpkin white ticket and a rose fabric button along with a small green crochet doily.

A close up of the rose button and small green doily.

A quick tip for those who want to outline shapes and a punched border.   I used a Candy Pink Zig Writer,  pen (1.22 mm tip) and placed my pieces on a scrap paper and gently guided my pen along the outer edges to create the outlined effect.  I also used this technique on the Purple Pumpkin tickets.

I hope I have inspired you!

Flexibility - a layout by Yvonne Yam

Purple Pumpkin embellishments are perfect for the fun layout on my nephew and niece.... who refused to pose for the camera (pic 1) and smiled sweetly when promised some sweet treats (pic 2).

The fabulous xoxo cupcake button sums it up nicely....

And the texture from the crochet doiley makes a great base for the embellishment cluster. Please stop by my blog for more details on this layout.

There are always new and fun things in the store. Go check it out and come play along with our June sketch challenge. You don't have to use any Purple Pumpkin products (even though we would love it if you did!)

A Moment In Time By Julianne McKenna-De Lumen

Hello Purple Pumpkin friends. Julianne here today, sharing a layout filled with Purple Pumpkin goodness. I created this layout for the Scrap Around The World challenge site (inspiration based on a mood board).

Can you spot all the PP goodies?
I wanted this layout to be soft, romantic, and feminine, so I have chosen my PP products accordingly. I have used fabric buttons, a flair button, twine, a crochet doily, and green tickets

The large fabric button and crochet doily work so well together, and the green tickets have been tucked in behind them, along with a green chevron flair button
Flowers and stick pins finish of the details in this embellishment cluster.

My smaller cluster, in the bottom left corner,  includes a floral fabric button, and some pale pink twine. I've highlighted the twine with some random rhinestones ( a girls got to have some bling!!!).

Thank-you for stopping by today, and don't forget, you can find all these glorious goodies in The Purple Pumpkin store

Don't forget to check out the PP June sketch too! We have new rules, and new prizes.
So who is going to be our first guest designer? Is it you?

Happy scrapping!

'Summer' Layout by Helen Tilbury

Hello again Purple Pumpkin fans!
Helen here with a layout share that went up at Scrapmatts last month,
where we were required to limit our colour palette to black, white & yellow.

I used a couple of lovely yellow resin roses on this layout - see them there along the tear line?  They come in an assorted pack available HERE & are ever so handy.

I also used lots of little strips of yellow washi tape that I tore into strips.  I find that tearing makes the washi look more artistic on a layout like this & if you are worried about it lifting what I do is coat the whole area with a thin layer of gel medium applied with a thick paint-brush as that works as a sealer.

You can buy the washi tape HERE at a really reasonable cost & don't forget about the washi stacks too, where you get 3 co-ordinating rolls for $5 HERE.  If you want to see more close-ups or find out any more about my layout I'll have it up on my blog soon so come & visit if you like HERE!

Hope you get your washi on soon too!  Cheers!!
