Now..the story.... One day, I took my dd to school and three boys, as soon as they saw her walking in, they run and hug her!!! hahaha it was SOOO cute!!! Thank God I had my photo camera in my pocket and captured the moment!!!

For this background, I have used a stencil, distress inks and gesso!!!

Something else I love to use in any color are skeleton leaves!!!

 They are discreet and yet so impressive and add texture!!

I love this adorable PP owl button!!! I have also used a fuscia flowery one in my cluster!

Here you can see a yellow dotty button and a ticket..

2013 the start of VCE by Judith

If you are in Australia I hope you're enjoying your Australia Day long weekend and to everyone else hope you had a good weekend.

I don't know about you but at the beginning of each new year I think I have so much patterned paper that I really should use more of it and buy no or less new paper. I have quite a few collections that I have bought and just not got around to using. So I try and make a concerted effort to use up some paper. Recently I rediscovered this Kaiser Rewind pp. I created a layout for the Kaisercraft sketch challenge and had quite a bit of paper left over decided to create another layout using this paper.

Here it is - 

I have  included lots of Purple Pumpkin goodies. Here I have used a fabric button with a blue star on, an orange doily and some black zig zag washi tape.

For this cluster I again used some more washi tape, a black vinyl heart and a black spotted white fabric button.

 I have included some hidden journalling about my hopes for my son over the next couple of years. He is really bright but will not apply himself to his studies. He really needs to if he is to get into university to study aerospace engineering, which is his wish.

Life is Great......

So great that i forgot it was my turn to post. Still in the holidaying mood- sort of with a bit of work chucked in as well!!!LOL
The kids are all ready to go back to school and i think that will come very quickly with the long weekend starting tomorrow.

Today i wanted to share a layout with you of my niece Alexa. on this particular day, she celebrated her 1st Birthday- so a mess on the face was expected after grabbing her cake!!LOL

I have based this layout on the sketch this month at Scrapbook Savvy.

My Favorite - By Debbie

Hi everyone!  It's Debbie here today with a layout to share with you.  I've been really trying to dig into my stash and use up as much as possible.  One of my favorite manufacturers is October Afternoon.  I came across some paper and embellishments from their Farmhouse collection and used it on my layout.

I love working with old photos, and this one of my mom was a perfect match for the October Afternoon paper and embellishments along with some Purple Pumpkin goodies!

I love clusters and here I have added a beige crochet doily, satin flower and two fabric buttons from Purple Pumpkin.  I love how the vintage girl  fabric button coordinates so perfectly with theme of my layout.

I've been experimenting lately with a little mixed media on my layouts.

Here I've used a stencil mask to add some numbers:

 Here I've used a Vintage Doily Mask along with some modeling paste, 

a little gesso and some stamping:

Enjoy Lifes Journey - Crece

 Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday. My Big Boy Andy was watching me search through all my photos yesterday and he found this one so i decided to use it for today's post. He was thrilled with the finished layout and has it in his room resting on his bed head.

Andy's 2 fav colours at the moment are Black and Red, the Purple Pumpkin embellishments and Washi tape I used worked really well for this colour combo.

These spotty buttons are so useful on layouts, they come in so many different colours too...

The Vinyl hearts were from a red pack I got awhile ago, but these come in other colours too and are great to use anywhere on a layout or card. I have also used Washi Tape.

'Happy Together' by Helen Tilbury

Hi everyone!  Helen here with an 'ombre' layout to share with you!

When I was tidying up my Purple Pumpkin box full of goodies I sorted

all my tickets from lightest to darkest & that's when it occurred to me!

I couldn't wait to try it out & sure enough the tickets fitted perfectly

onto my background cardstock & I simply stapled them down the sides!

I love the effect & you could do it with other colours too of course!

I used some Purple Pumpkin crochet flowers on my layout too,

as well as some fabric buttons, and also some twine.

These goodies are really so easy to incorporate onto your pages.
