So loved by Judith

Good morning Purple Pumpkin fans. This morning I have a very girly layout to share with you. I have teamed up some Kaisercraft True Romance pp with some Purple Pumpkin embellies for the current Frosted Designs challenge using tags.

I just rediscovered this photo last week, when I took a photo out of a frame to scan. This was behind it. This was taken of my daughter 15 years ago.

Now for some close ups of my Purple Pumpkin embellies.
Here I have used a sweet floral fabric button

A cute little fawn fabric button.

A vintage rocking horse flair button, a pink fabric flower and dotted around I have some light pink  twine bows.

A pink crocheted doily peaking out.

Hope I've inspired you to pull out some girly embellishments.

Thanks for looking

Judith xx

"Happy birthday" - card by Arnlaug Koppang

Today I'm going to show you something I almost never make - a card! I'm really trying to make more to give to my friends and family:-)

A while back I participated in a class of Yasmin. We made a steampunk style canvas.

My card is not in the steampunk style, but I've used the same technique. All you have to do is layer lots of different paper scraps, lace, doilies etc., I've used a doilie and some washi tape from the Purple Pumpkin shop. It's not easy to see but it's there making a nice base for my card.

Then you put on LOTS of different embellishments and junk. It don't have to look pretty together but it looks nicer if you have some kind of "order" in your mess;-) Like gluing strips of paper in the same direction.

When this is dry you paint everything with gesso and dry it of. And now it's time for the real fun part! Get your mist and choose a few colors and start spraying. this is like magic I think:-)

I love to see something boring or even ugly, get so beautiful in just a few seconds. It's nice to add some black for shade and gold to top it of. I also highlight some parts with gesso. I like to add some stamping and maybe a frame around the card.

To finish my card up I've printed out "Happy birthday" and glued it on using 3D dots. I've put on a piece of unpainted wood veneer and last but not least this adorable owl button:-)

Thanks:-)

Easter Bonnet by Judith

Good morning Purple Pumpkin fans. Today I have a layout to share with you using some gorgeous PP fabric buttons and some Motex tape. This layout is inspired by the fist Stuck sketch this month.
I decided to match the bright colours sons hat and the navy of his uniform.

Look at this gorgeous tiger button. Unfortunately it isn't currently available. I bought it a while back as it was something I just had to have but hadn't used. I decided this was the right layout for it as the smiling tiger symbolised the big smile on my son's face.

Next up we have a fabric orange bird button, chosen to go with the little chicks hanging from my son's hat.

Finally, I have used an ever useful orange fabric spotty button.

All my buttons were placed on orange tickets to ground them.

Finally, I added my journalling on some yellow Motex tape. There are lots of colours in the shop and it is ideal for journalling.

Thanks for looking. Hope I've inspired you. Maybe you could use some of those fabric buttons you've been hoarding!

Until next time

Judith xx

"4 year old happiness" by Arnlaug Koppang

Today I'm sharing another layout with you:-) For this page I used a  case file over at CSI for inspiration. This case file has a lot of bright colors which I find perfect for the Purple Pumpkin products.

On my layout I have used a crochet doilie, a felt heart, the cutest little birdie button and some washi tape. It seems like there is a perfect product for every layout to find in the store:-)

To make my layout I only used small bits of paper. First I put some molding paste through a stencil on top, then some mist and top top it of a bit of gesso to make the colors work better together.

Hope you like my page:-)

Right now, I'm totally in love with the wooden ones. Like the butterfly. And the round wooden ones with floral designs. Love how they just add that extra something on your layouts! :)
