Yee-haw! Howdy Pardners! :)
I've created this layout using the latest sketch over at Creative Scrappers...
It was lots of fun doing this layout, especially with the Western theme! (Hence my "yee-hawing" etc... LOL!)
Here's a closie shot...
That lovely bright orange doily, spotty fabric button and yellow baker's twine are all from Purple Pumpkin's fabulous store!
So for my main cluster here, I've made what I call an "embellishment burger"! The base "bun" is the yummy orange doily, the "beef patty" is a chippie star, the "cheese" is the yellow corrugated cardboard that I cut to shape and glued on top of the star, and last but not least - the sesame seed bun top is that cute dotty button! Now there's some big ol' seeds!!! ;D
You've still got some time to get your entries in for this month's sketch challenge! There will be two fabulous Purple Pumpkin prize packs to give away (just think - you could make your very own "embellishment burger"!) - one winner will be chosen by the design team, and the second will be a random prize draw. Please check it out here! :)
I've been thrilled by the quality of the entries so far! It's a real delight to see all the different layouts using my sketch. Lots of fun!
That's all from me until next time... have a great day, hey!!!
Cheers,
Chantal :D

Cosmo - By Crece
Hello everyone, hope you all have had an awesome weekend. It has been a little wet here where I live in QLD, Australia.
Today I'm sharing a layout which I have created for my Mum. About a month or so ago she had to make the hard decision of putting down her dog Cosmo. He was 15 years old and had some pretty bad heart problems. This was the last photo I took of him before he was put to rest.
As you can see the tag has got the awesome brown/teal twine attached to it. The cluster is the vinyl lollipop flower with book paper and button, the green heart button was from last months sale, with brown/white twine. I also tucked a doily under the lollipop flower to add some more colour.
Again here in this close up you can see the green doily paired up with an awesome brown patterned button that I had in my Purple Pumpkin Stash.
Dont forget you still have until tomorrow to get your Sketch challenge in for the month of April
Thanks for looking, Enjoy your week

HI FROM STACEY
Well hello, i hope your enjoying the weekend so far. Here are a few pages i have done recently
using buttons a doily and some twine and my new favourite a satin flower
.
This is my first attempt at a 8.5x11 page, i think i could get use to that size.
Here is a close up of the button and doily.
This doily started off orange, so i pulled out my black paint, put it in a spray bottle and added some water and sprayed it black. I just love the spotty buttons, they go with anything. Now for my second page which i did for Creative Scrappers latest sketch #205
The satin flower has become my new favourite embellisment , sadly i running low on them, hopefully it wont be long to the next sale. Don't forget there is still a few days left to enter this months sketch comp here at Purple Pumpkin. Well that all for me now im off to do some more pages, hope you all get to do some scrapping this weekend.
See you soon STACEY
My last post..
Well as I have stated before, I am finishing up on the Purple Pumpkin DT..
This post should have happened yesterday, but it slipped my mind completely,
which is a great example of why I made the decision to leave.
The DT is fabulous to be a part of, but I am struggling lately to put in 100% so I was happy to leave and give some other great designers a go :)
These layouts may have been seen by some of you before, they were created using the March You're Savvy kit, from Scrapbook Savvy. I have used some of the new release DENIM Purple Pumpkin buttons on both of them, which are sooooo cute!!
So that's it from me, thanks for all your lovely comments over the past 6 months!!

Love.....Purple Pumpkin !!!
I borrowed this template from a friend to do my background on my layout. I wanted to use a bright mist- so not me...LOL !!!
So this layout i completed for this months sketch at Anna's Craft Cupboard.
Look at my cluster of embellisments up close:
Love the new bright heart buttons.
Have you entered your sketch for this months challenge??? You should...only a few days left to do so....

Hello from Vicky!
Thank you for your warm welcome and congratulations to all the ladies who joined the team!
I am so excited to be here and writing my own post for Purple Pumpkin blog! WooHoo!!!
Thank you Sam & Sandra for that honor!!!
If you already follow my blog, I am sure you have realized my love and addiction to Purple Pumpkin! I use them every chance I get! I 1st saw them on the layouts of a few favorite scrappers of mine Melinda & Belinda! I fell in love! I was disappointed because they are based in Australia but when I asked them about the shipping cost, I was pleasantly surprised!!! They are so cheap!! Check out the store --->HERE
The ladies load the store every month on a specific date and time so keep an eye for that!
Maybe some of you remember that I was chosen as a guest designer on the last DT call 6 months ago, so today I will combine my guest & designer introduction post!
Sam sent me the Black&White kit...I had never done a layout with this color combo and I was a bit afraid but, when you hold such yummy embellies in your hands, inspiration just flows...and I do like a good challenge to get me out of the "comfort zone"!
Black&White
Everything in these close ups are Purple Pumpkin!!!(Except the charms)
My girl
For this layout I used the blue and pink buttons with the daisies, the pink heart button and the white doily!
Fearless
My fearless DD Ioli...nothing can stop her...She runs like crazy! Just like mummy! I love speed and anything extreme but I am always careful!
Oh, how I love the spotty buttons!!! They come in many colors and they are so cute!!
I also used the grey twine for my banner!
I am happy to say "See you again next month"..LOL!!!
Don't forget to participate in our sketch challenge!!!
You still have time to link your project on the sidebar!!!
Have a nice day!
xoxo

Chantal with you today... ;)
Hi there! First I'd like to say a big warm welcome to our newest DT members! I'm really loving the eye candy you've all been creating and sharing here at Purple Pumpkin! It's been a real pleasure! Welcome back to our returning DT members too! I am so thrilled to be staying on another term here with you all!
I'd like to share a layout that I recently made using a challenge at Kraft It Up!...
The challenge is to use three Kraft layers... so these photos instantly came to mind! Kraft reminds me a little of the warmth of gingerbread! LOL!
So here I've used a plain piece of Kraft cardstock as my base. I have then used tiny post-it - like labels around my page as a border, then I've stuck Tim Holtz' tissue tape over the top to blend in the colours and "warm" it up.
I then had a piece of a fake Xmas tree branch, and I used this as a mask with my October Afternoon "Holiday Style" Sprinkler Sprays. First I used "Spruce Tree" (green) on the right, "Santa's Hat" (red) in the middle and "Tinsel" (silver) on the left. And I ended up with a very colourful backdrop (and Chrissy branch!).
My three other Kraft items are; Shipping tags (which are in actual fact, clothing tags), Kraft patterned paper (punched into snowflakes... Martha Stewart style ;) ) and lastly, chipboard circles (by Collections - they came in a DIY cotton spool set, but of course I use them for everything but!) - I didn't seem to actually have many Kraft-coloured chippie (most of it is a grey colour) so these did very nicely... it's a great colour for chippie I think!
Hey hey hey! The twine bow is back! ;) (For those of you that are wondering what I'm on about - I used to use these ALOT a couple of months back. That twine is called "Valentine's Twine" and it's available from Purple Pumpkin right here. At only $1.75 for 5m, no wonder I'm rather frivolous with my twine! Total bargain!!!
This was a fantastic memory that I got to document creatively - it's still fresh in the mind so lots of journalling too!
Have you played along with our sketch challenge yet? It's by me, so I'm totally loving seeing everyone's interpretations, hey! The layouts so far are AWESOME! I'm blown away by all the talent out there!!!
You can check it out here!
That's all for now, TFL!
Cheers,
Chantal

Cybercropping by Sar
This weekend I was lucky enough to spend time with two of my gorgeous friends in the Hunter Valley, scrapping the weekend away whilst also 'enjoying' time with our children ;)
While I was away I managed five layouts for the Scrapbook Savvy Cybercrop, three of which included goodies from my Purple Pumpkin box.
Firstly, Jen's Challenge which was a product challenge to include glimmer mist on your layout. That I did, misting my entire background and using a misting template...so much fun and just really brightened my background. I have used a gorgeous bright flower, a bright orange cabachon as well as a cute little bee button...
My next one was for Tara's Colour Challenge in which I've used one of the super cute cabachons from Purple Pumpkin.
And a close up of my twine bow with the gorgeous yellow cabachon featured in the middle...
The last one I can't show you the whole layout yet as it was my example for the blind scrap challenge, a step by step class in which you have NO IDEA how your layout will turn out! Its so great seeing all the different interpretations from the same step of instructions. You still have the chance to complete the layout 'blind' before I reveal my full layout on Wednesday.
Here's a closeup of the super pretty essential twine that y'all MUST have in your stash by now, right?!
You'll also spy a white cabachon on my journaling card...
I would love to see you over in the Scrapbook Savvy Forum, you still have till midnight Thursday to submit your layouts, and of course I'd love it EVEN MORE if you included some Purple Pumpkin goodies on your cybercrop layouts!
Hope to see you soon!
Cheers,
Sar

Love your big blue eyes - by Crece
Hello Everyone, hope you have had a fantastic week.
Today I would love to share with you a quick lil layout I did of my big boy Andy, that i titled
'Love your Big Blue eyes'
I have used Kaisercraft papers, glimmermist thickers, letter stickers and of course some twine and that Huge lovely Owl button from Purple Pumpkin.
Here is a close up of the Owl button in a small cluster with some leaves, resin flowers and also a piece of green doily also from Purple Pumpkin.
This colour in this owl button work so well with the Kaisercraft papers, I think he is cute.
Hope you have a great week, and dont forget to enter the Purple Pumpkin Sketch challenge for this month, cant wait to see what you all come up with.

Hi from Gwen :)
Hi
there! I'm Gwen and I live on the beautiful Gold Coast in Queensland. I have a
5 year old daughter as well as 2 teenage step daughters and a very supportive
hubby who knows what a "Sizzix" is and that "purple pumpkins" are great!! Oh
yes, and a cat, named Hamlet.
I have been scrapping for around 9 years and do something crafty each and every day (my craft room is my 2nd home). I love lots of layers, embellishment clusters, ribbons, flowers and all things pretty. I have been published in Scrapbooking Memories and Scrapbook Creations and generally create 12 x 12s but also love cards and off the page projects. I am also currently on the design team for Craft Queen and Scrap Friends.
I am so thrilled to be apart of the Purple Pumpkin team and have been using all sorts of PP goodies on my projects for some time now :) My favs are the buttons, flowers and twine, oh how I love twine!!
I'd love to share a couple of my fav Purple Pumpkin layouts - both of these were created for my Guest DT spot a few months back.
and this one, I created especially for the DT call...
Looking
forward to bringing you more projects over the next 6 months, as well as seeing
your challenge creations. I'm a keen blogger so please be sure to pop
by my Blog and say Hi!

Dancing Fun :)
My girls both love ballet - so when I saw that The Royal NZ Ballet were performing 'Angelina Ballerina' I surprised them with tickets. Now at 15 Natalie is a little old for 'Angelina' but she did love watching the dancers performing and as we were sittiing on the second row she got a very good view of the costumes, shoes, make-up etc. Sophie at 7 was in little girl heaven. She loved the show but the highlight for her was most definitely getting her very own Angelina doll to take home and love :)
Ofcourse pink had to be the main theme of my page - and how perfect is that Purple Pumpkin ballerina button. Here is a close up of it - and my journaling.
I matted it on a PP doily to add to the 'girlie' charm. I also added a pink spotty button (these spotty PP buttons are my absolute favourite) and the cute little felt banner was the perfect finishing touch.
Hope you all have a great weekend - and those of us in NZ continue to enjoy this gorgeous sunny weather that we have been having recently!

HI FROM STACEY
HELLO, TESTING!!! TESTING!!! ONE TWO ONE TWO...... IS THIS THING ON?
Hi guys, my name is Stacey Apps, I live on the south coast of N.S.W in a small town by the sea.I am married to a great guy, who loves fishing as much as I love scrapping. I have 3 terrific children, Dylan(15),
Courtnie(11), and Hayley(3).They are the reason for scrapping. I have been scrapping now for about 10 years, it all started when I saw a friends album, and just having had my second child I thought this is how I want to showcase their lives.
As my husband often says, 'who would have thought that tearing some paper and sticking a photo on top could be such a big deal'. MEN!!! Well doing just that has taken me to some lovely places, I've met some amazing people, and its opened a few doors. Just recently I started putting myself out there (with a gentle nudge from my best friend Karen Shady). I have joined some amazing sites, been published a few times and started my own blog http://www.seasidescrapper.blogspot.com.au/.
I am totally addicted to sketches, and when Creative Scrappers put out their call for a design team earlier this year, with a gentle nudge from that same friend, I applied, to my shock I was accepted. I still pinch myself everyday about it.
So when PURPLE PUMPKIN had their call out, that same friend (my god she is pushy) told me I should try out, and as i have a stash of some of their amazing products, I thought why not, and you guessed it, here I am. Now I have to pinch myself twice a day.
My style of scrapping is CLEAN & SIMPLE, I like clean straight lines, not over embellishing a page and occasionally I like to get a bit messy with some inking and painting.
I am so excited to be part of this team for the next 6 months and would like to thank Sam and Sandra for this amazing opportunity.
Here are a couple of my pages
Dont you just love their buttons, well thats it from me, TALK TO YOU SOON STACEY:)

Red & Blue by Sar
There is always lots of use for red & blue embellishments in my house - our school colours are red & blue, and so are the team colours for my son's footy team! Needless to say, if Sam sends me red & blue embellies in my DT kit they DEFINITELY get used!
So Proud - my hubby & son on the first day of 'winter school uniform' when Cooper was in kindy. Cooper goes to the same school his Daddy did when he was a little boy, so Daddy if very proud of that.
And some closeups of the awesome felt, vinyl & denim embellies from Purple Pumpkin.
St Pius Turns 50 - again, a school related page for Cooper's album using the matching school colour embellishments from Purple Pumpkin as well as some twine.
My journalling...
And a closeup of the felt goodness from PP...
Hope your week has started well, stay tuned for some more blog posts here this week from our BRAND NEW DT MEMBERS, so excited to meet them all and see their amazing work. Please make sure you welcome them too, with lots of comments here!

Grumpy Bum - By Crece
I was needing a little inspiration so thought I would check out the challenge Sketch on Stuck?!
I had this photo of Fletchy from last year, he gets really grumpy sometimes when I want to take photos of him, I want photos that capture ever side of my boys and thought this one was perfect for his Scrapbook album (you cant ALWAYS scrap the perfect photos lol).
So this is what I came up with...
I used some of the current Bo Bunny papers from the 'On The Go' range.
here is a close up of the Purple Pumpkin Embellishments I have used.
Spotted green/white and denim lollipop flower, along with the orange fox button and some orange twine.
Here is a close up of the Blue Doily I used, I made the bottle cap embellishment myself.
Hope you have a great week
