One for Mothers day :)
Over here in NZ is is Mother's Day tomorrow so I thought it would be the perfect time to scrap these photos of myself and my daughter Natalie goofing around together :) Natalie is a treasure - she is so happy, fun-loving and affectionate and is one of those people who 's glass is always half full!! I wanted my page to reflect her happy personality and the fun that we have just spending time together. I chose bright, girlie papers and embellishments on a black backdrop (which really makes the colours 'pop').
Just look at those Purple Pumpkin spotty buttons! They are the perfect embellishment for this theme.
PP have a huge range of colours and designs - I love them all but the polka dots are my absolute favourites and they come in all colors of the rainbow to complement any page or project!!
Here is a close up:
The pink fabric flowers that I used are also from PP. They were originally layered into one large yellow and pink bloom. The yellow didn't really match my page so I separated the layers and used just the pink parts to make two separate flowers to complement my page. I will use the yellow layers similarly for another page. Don't be afraid to cut apart and alter your embellishments to customise them for the page you are working on. The little pink and brown butterfly on my page was also part of a larger embellishment that I separated into its constituent layers.
Baker's twine is so hot right now and PP have a great selection of colors. Beware though it is very addictive. I started off with just a couple of basic colours and now I have twine in every colour of the rainbow!!!
Well, that 's about all I have for now. I hope that all of you who are celebrating mother's day this weekend have a fantastic day and are thoroughly spoiled (remember to add some PP goodies to your 'wish' list ). I will be spending the morning with family and hopefully will squeeze in a few hours of 'me' time in the afternoon to scrap with my girls :)
