Guest Designer Leanne Nankervis!!!

Hi my name is Leanne Nankervis I am happy to be guest designer at Purple Pumpkin blog this month, I just love all there goodies and have quite a stash of them at home. I am married with 3 children who are my inspiration of my scrapping and who I just love to scrap. I have been scrapbooking for 10 years and love it with a passion, what started out as scrapping just to preserve my photo's and memories is so much more now I love to play and create. I don't think I have a particular style as I love to have a go at anything, though I love to layer and are a bling girl. I am currently on the Show us your stuff design team and Black with 2 and I am a chipboard designer for Molossi. You can check out my blog at www.leannesscrappystuff.blogspot.com.au would love to see you pop by.

Here are my projects I created for Purple Pumpkin

I had fun creating this layout using stencils, spray inks, paint and of course I used the purple pumkin purple spot fabric button.

In this layout I used some masks with gesso paint, mister hueys mists and lots of layering and flowers and some doilies from purple pumpkin, felt heart and some crochet flowers.

And finally did some stamping in the background of this layout and used some roller stamps, splats of colour shine and finished off with some purple pumpkin products to embellish the page, extra large panda bear button and heart and flair button as well.
Thanks again to the Purple Pumpkin team for having me as Guest Designer
cheers :)

Love This Girl by Julianne McKenna-De Lumen

Good Monday morning everyone!
Julianne joining you today, for more creative inspiration and scrappy fun!

"LOVE THIS GIRL"
This layout has been created using the Purple Pumpkin July sketch. Due to unforseen family circumstances, I was unable to share this layout for the sketch reveal. But I believe it's better late, than never. :-)

The sketch was very flexible, so I altered it, to suit my papers and photo. I have used a PP fabric button and a crocheted doily, as my main focal point. In addition, I have added a bottle cap and tulle bling flower to the cluster of embellishments.

The fun design washi tape was perfect for this layout. It suits my daughter's personality completely. And since this layout is about how much I love my daughter, it wouldn't be complete without a heart - so I added a flair button (topped with a coloured rhinestone).

I loved this big chipboard butterfly, but thought it needed a little something. So I added a wooden button, tied with some hot pink twine. Pretty, isn't it? Oh, and of course, a little bling!

Thank-you for joining me today. It's been a pleasure sharing my layout creation with you. And don't forget, you still have two days left to get your sketch layout entry completed. It's nearly time to choose our Guest Designer, and it could be you!

Cheers and happy scrapping, xxx
Julianne.

Play by Debbie

Good morning everyone!  Debbie here today to share I layout I created using some Purple Pumpkin goodies!
I love working with old photos and have used one of my mom and her brother.  My mom is on the right of the picture and her brother is in the middle.  I'm not sure who the little girl is wearing the hat.

My signature cluster with lots of Purple Pumpkin embellishments!

Here I have used a brown spotty button, a beige resin flower and a felt spotty top flower.

And here and on various other parts of my layout I have used some text washi tape.

Don't forget there are still a couple of days left for our sketch challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!

Katniss Braid by Judith

Good morning Purple Pumpkin fans. Today I have another layout to share with you using lots of Purple Pumpkin goodies.
My daughter is a big Hunger Games fan and loved the look of the braid worn by one of the main characters Katniss. Luckily, it was a fairly simple braid to do.

Here are some close ups of the Purple Pumpkin goodies I used. For my cluster I have used an orange yo-yo flower, a multicoloured wooden heart button, a peach fabric button and a felt doily.

A sweet fabric bird button and another felt doily cut in half.

For my banner I used five different washi tapes and placed them over some dark pink twine and placed resin flowers at each end.

I have a busy day today so better get going. Until next time.

As Cute As A Button by Julianne McKenna-De Lumen

Happy Monday morning everyone! Can someone hand me some coffee - stat!!!
Are we all ready to face another week???
Don't panic - just another four days and the weekend will be here again.

 "AS CUTE AS A BUTTON"
Today I am sharing a "quick and simple" layout with you. More often than not, my layouts are filled with layers and details - and to be honest, it does take a few hours of work to get the finished product. But occasionally, I decide to keep it simple - and FUN!!!

I used lots of tickets and kraft tags as the base for this layout. I cut them to varying lengths, keeping all the cut-offs, and added them to the layout. Then, I built the layout up from there.

I also threw in a few fabric buttons, a crochet doily, a couple of flair buttons, and a resin flower. Yeah, I know - I seem to have a bit of a "polka dot" addiction is this layout. I couldn't help myself - the papers and buttons just worked so well together.

And I finished with a wooden button (tied with a piece of twine) as part of my title. Cute isn't it! :-)
Materials Used: Crate Paper "The Pier"; Making Memories felt alphabet; Sasafrass flowers; October Afternoon mini alpha stickers; Martha Stewart punch.

Thanks for stopping by and joining us here today.
Don't forget to come back tomorrow to check out some more inspiration from the team. Or better still, why not join in the fun with the Purple Pumpkin July sketch - we are looking for a guest designer, and it could be you!!!

Cheers, x

Haystack Harry by Judith

Good morning from a chilly Victoria. The weather here is topsy turvy at the moment. It was warm, almost spring like on Thursday and today it is decidly chilly.

Today I have a colourful layout I created for the Scrap Your Stash challenge which involved using only red, white and blue. I created my background by using paint and then added some red zig zag washi tape, red and blue ric rac and stamping randomly in red and blue. I added some chipboard pieces and then my photo. My son has really strong thick hair on which a comb is absolutely useless. Most of the time it looks ok but once it gets to a certain length it starts sticking up in all directions and has earnt him the nickname 'Haystack Harry' when it does.

Here are a few close ups of the Purple Pumpkin goodies I have used. Here I have used a vinyl red and blue round with star and a red and white spotty fabric button.

Here I have used a red spotty fabric button on top of the washi tape.

And here I have used a blue fabric button, again on top of red zigzag washi tape.

Hope you have found this layout inspiring and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Blonde (Again) by Julianne McKenna-De Lumen

Hello, Purple Pumpkin fans. Julianne here today, sharing a layout I recently created for PaperHaus. On the 15th of every month, they do a "Remember Me" blog segment (it's all about remembering to scrap yourself).

"BLONDE {AGAIN}"
I decided this was the perfect opportunity to record my recent change of hair colour. After being a red-head for many years, I have finally gone back to my natural blonde. It's still taking some getting used to. :-)

I love how the Purple Pumpkin goodies match so well with the Fancy Pants "Park Bench" paper range. They just "pop" off the page. Can you see which PP products I have used? I started with the black and white loop washi tape. I used it to help create my background. Then I added a kraft tag, and a cute camera flair button

Next, I added three blue crochet flowers to form my visual triangle, plus a gorgeous bright yellow polka dot button (I have a thing for polka dots - I just LOVE them!!!).

And I couldn't help myself - I had to add a resin flower. They are just sooooo cute - I want to use them on everything!!!

So, do you have a favourite PP product? Leave a comment, and let me know. :-)
And don't forget to get your Purple Pumpkin July sketch entry in - you have until the end of the month, and then we will be choosing one lucky person to come and guest design with us. It could be you!

Thanks for stopping by today - I hope you are having an awesome day.

Cheers,
Julianne.

Good morning folks. Hope you're having a good weekend. It's turned a bit chilly here down in Victoria. And now for some close ups. Here is a spotty button top and some red striped washi tape.

Another spotty button top. I just love these.

I also used a aqua spotty button.

Hope you enjoyed this layout.

Life Is A Journey Enjoy The Ride - by Debbie Burns

Hi everyone, Debbie here with you today to share my layout using the July sketch.
I enjoy working with old photos and have used one of my grandparents.
I did a lot of layering with paper strips and washi tape on my layout along with some misting, stamping and masking.  Love the "worn" look of the layout with the pops of red.

Here I've used a beige crochet doily and a car fabric button.

Here I used a round which you can purchase in the store here.

Here I have used some text washi tape from the store.

I hope I have inspired you to join us for the July sketch challenge.  You can find all of the details here.
