Fields of Gold by Judith

Good morning and welcome to another Sunday morning. It's my turn to share a page with you today. This is a layout I did for the ScrapFriends sketch. A couple of weeks back we were driving back from Geelong and came across this expanse of Sunflowers (unfortunately, some were past their best) but I made DH stop the car so I could take some photos.

And here are some close ups showing my Purple Pumpkin goodies. I this one I used a green crocheted doily and tucked in a brown floral fabric button underneath my corrugated cardboard. I have also used some text washi tape and a kraft film die cut.

And in this one I have used a wooden printed floral button.

Hope you have enjoyed looking at my page.

Don't forget the DT call.

Turtle Kisses - Crece

Hello everyone, Hope you have been having a great week, yesterday I was able to get a huge amount of washing dried for the first time in ages...we had lots of beautiful sun!

Today I'm sharing 2 layouts I have created using some Purple pumpkin products.

'Turtle Kisses'
This is a layout with pics of my lil Fletchy kissing a Turtle at the Melbourne Zoo a few years back.

I have used vinyl Orange cog, yellow yo yo flower, crochet orange flower and yellow heart button.

This layout I created for a CC i was involved in over at Scraplounge.
I had a recipe to work by and the theme was 'when you were young'
So that lil girl in the pic is of me when i was around 2.
I have used the awesome little vintage girl button. She is my favourite girl button from PP. I have also used red/white twine.

Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week, dont forget PP is having a Design Team callout at the moment so send all that wonderful work you have been creating and show the team what you can do

'The Adventure Begins' by Helen Tilbury

Hello there Purple Pumpkin fans!  HELEN here again today, sharing a layout with you that I have just created for the current challenge over at Once Upon a Sketch.  The theme is WEEKENDS & I turned the sketch on it's side to accomodate my landscape photo orientation.

I used the new Glitz Design 'Color Me Happy' papers as I am a fan of bright colours & this is really one HAPPY collection!  I have used tonnes of Purple Pumpkin goodies on this one.  Can you spot them all?!?

Instead of masking I used this fantastic hexagon paper from Glitz Design Cashmere Dame collection.  My trusty dymo was used for some of my journaling.  I have 2 dymos, each slightly different, as you can see by the bigger & smaller fonts above.  You can JUST see that happy yellow XL button peeking out from under the photo there.  Buy that HERE.

I LOVED layering things up as you can see!  And of course I added in a couple of tickets on each side of my cluster.  They are available from Purple Pumpkin HERE.  See that printed button by the date sticker?  You can purchase that one HERE.

There's another fabric button tucked underneath the title, see?  And there are also a few wooden hearts dotted around my page (I simply recoloured them using a red inkpad first).  There is also a large printed wooden button up on the left by the location cutout.

Those Purple Pumpkin hearts echoed the hearts in the paper collection so well as you can see.

Why not try to find a patterned paper in your own stash that you can cut out in this way?  It was FUN let me tell you!!

I fussy-cut my title from a sheet of patterned paper from the same collection {Glitz Design Color Me Happy} & used one of their cardstock stickers for my journaling.

I hope you enjoyed taking a peek at my new creation today!
Don't forget that there is a DESIGN TEAM CALL at Purple Pumpkin right now & we would LOVE to see some of you apply.  ALL of you in fact!!

I have a BIG GIVEAWAY going on right now over at my personal blog HERE and I would love it if you came & paid me a bloggy visit & signed up.  Got to be in it to win it!!

Happy Hump Day everyone :)

Toasting marshmallows - by Sarah Groen

Here is the page that I would like to share with you today. We camped out in the back garden this Saturday. We had planned to go camping for a night at a local water park but Sophie has broken her arm and can't get her cast wet. She was so disappointed that we decided to do the camp-out in the garden thing to cheer her up. It was a lot of fun and I think that toasting marshmallows over a 'real' camp fire was the kids highlight.
My papers are again Teresa Collins. Check out these gorgeous PP embellies!

The fabric flower was a perfect colour match. I loved the spotty button button but the colour was a little bright so I swiped over it with white distress paint. You can do this with almost anything that is a little bright for your colour scheme.

I love these little wooden houses from prima - they are so cute and can be added to most clusters for a little added interest. I love the studio calico wooden 'words and phrases' too.
Have a great day - its another beautiful sunny one here in Auckland! I hope this summer never ends!

Love the cute owl fabric buttons which I've circled with some orange twine
which you can find here in the Purple Pumpkin store.

And here I have placed some cute heart washi tape.

Point Roadknight by Judith

Good morning. I hope your weekend is going well. Today I have a layout I created for Once Upon a Sketch this month. The theme was to create a page about the weekend. I was born and brought up by the sea and beach and it's one thing I miss about where we live in Australia. So I love to go down to the beach at the weekend. Our favourite place to go at the moment is Point Roadknight which is just past Anglesea on the Great Ocean Road. This photo was taken a couple of weekends ago.
With this layout I took the opportunity of having another go with texture paste and used a chevron mask. To add to my background I sprayed two different mists through the chevron mask and added some splodges using Distress Ink and finally stamped used a Kaisercraft texture stamp.

Here is a close up of my cluster which incorporates a few Purple Pumpkin goodies. I have used a couple of pieces of crocheted doilies. I very rarely use a whole doily. I usually cut them in half. I used the other half of the ecru doily in the top cluster. I have also used a lovely satin flower and a couple of blue resin roses.

I have finished the cluster off with some paper flowers, a couple of real shells, a wooden frame and some shell beads.

Hope the rest of your weekend goes well and if you're in Victoria enjoy the long weekend. If you have some time, why don't you have a go at our sketch competition or if you create something with Purple Pumpkin goodies upload your layout to our Facebook page. You could be in the running for a prize!
