Counting down the days until Xmas by Judith

Good morning.
Christmas is getting ever closer so I thought I'd share with you a Christmas themed layout I did recently. We have several ways of counting down the days until Christmas in our household so I thought I'd feature them on a layout.

And here's some close ups of some Purple Pumpkin goodies. I have used am XL red with white stars button, a santa flair button that I got in my xmas thank you package with my last order, red tickets, and red twine. The tag started live as a white tag which was in my lucky dip bag but you could easily use one of the kraft tags in the shop and I covered it with several strips of green large chevron washi tape and then cut it in half. I used half here and half in my other cluster. Just sneaking under the red ticket you can see part of a red felt doily that was part of the boy lucky dip bag I ordered. I cut it in 4 and used in 4 places on my page.

I also used a red spotty button.

This is my last post before Christmas so wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

A Christmas Kiss

OMGosh only two more weeks till Christmas. Hope you are more organised than I have been this year! Today I want to share with you this LO that I made recently. I took the photos last weekend after Sophie and Benji had danced in their Xmas show. It was Benji's very first time on the stage and he did so well. As I stood them under the Xmas tree to take their photos Sophie spontaneously turned to her little brother and kissed him on the cheek saying 'I am so glad that you are my baby brother. I love you'. It was such a sweet moment that I wanted to scrap about it right away before it was forgotten.
The papers I used are mainly from October Afternoon's 'Midway' collection. They matched the colour and mood of my photos really well. The gorgeous buttons are ofcourse from Purple Pumpkin!! Here is a wee close up:

The bakers twine and washi tape are also from Purple Pumpkin. They really do add the finishing touch to a page!
Have a great week wherever you are and I hope that your Christmas is special and filled with love

Me at 3 - By Crece

Hello everyone, Crece here with you today to share with you a layout i created last week. I cant believe how busy this time of year is, it seems to get worse each year. Trying to fit scrapping time in has been a challenge, but I did manage it and here is what I created...

This is a pic of me when I was around 3 years of age, Im holding a dolly's head - Mum said i used to pull the heads off and brush their hair and then pop the heads back on...i cant remember but it was a long time ago...
I have used Kaiser crafts paper range 'Botanical Odyssey' and have done a spot of masking on the white cardstock, and now for the close up of all the yummy Purple Pumpkin embellishments...

I have used a Pink satin flower, and a extra large Purple spotted button, combined with some other flowers in my stash and a Words or Whatever Peacock Feather chipboard.

Not many more sleeps til the fat man in the red suit gets here...hope your all getting organised for this festive season and have a great week.

'You Talking to Me?' Layout by Helen Tilbury

Hi there everyone!  I hope you've all had a good weekend!!
HELEN here with my latest creation using Purple Pumpkin
products.  I was inspired by the sketch at The Scrapbook Store.
There are many Purple Pumpkin embellishments suitable for masculine
projects.  Here I have used twine, an XL star button, 3 wooden buttons
washi tape, a film-strip die cut, a music note circular die-cut
(that I have split into two) & a tag.
I always double the twine as it looks more effective & is easier to adhere
using tiny glue-dots that can be hidden behind the extra thickness.
The cool die-cut film strip is great for teen layouts, as is the washi,
which I think looks great torn & of course is also more economical
when used this way!
The washi is a great way of adding just a touch of colour wherever you
need it to create balance on your layouts.  The die-cut musical
notepaper is also from the store, I just inked up the edges in black.
This time I threaded the wooden buttons with twine & left some twine at each side to make an interesting boyish embellishment.  I flipped the buttons over to their reverse side as I wanted them to be plain as opposed to printed.  Thanks for looking & I'll be back later in the month to share more Purple Pumpking goodness with you!!

Being Organised....

Well i thought i would try to get organised early in Dec for Xmas...but it ain't working...lol!!! And hence why i put up my hand to get in an early post here....

I wanted to share a layout that i completed for a challenge at the end of last month. I just loved the pastel colours and showing these colours on a feminane layout of my niece certainly brings out the beauty within.

a couple of close ups of the cute cupcake buttons and mix of coloured pastel buttons:

And my next layout i would like to share is a layout for Kraft It Up. And we are into the beginning of Dec and that means getting ready for the BIG fellow to make an appearance for a special time of the year.

Did you spot my little santa button...how cute are they!

So thanks for stopping by. Hope you are more organised than me this year. And i hope you have time to create a layout this month based on our lovely sketch.
