Your new bike - by Crece

Hello everyone, hope your week has been great. I'm feeling heaps better this week and manage to get a layout together to share with you today.

This layout is of my older son Andy, he got a new bike last year for Christmas, and I have only just got around to scrapping the pic.

This is a close up of some white/teal twine I have wrapped around the star cut outs from Kaiser Craft. I also used this cute little boy button from Purple Pumpkin that I have had in my stash for a little while now and thought the colours worked well with the papers I have used.

And another close up of some red/white twine wrapped around another star.

Hope you have a fantastic week, and keep an eye on updates on the Purple Pumpkin facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Purple-Pumpkin/141808655854158

And also on the Purple Pumpkin 2nd Birthday Event on Facebook

Clowning Around with Chantal! :)

Hello Purple Pumpkin fans!

The layout I'd like to share today is called "Clowning Around!"... LOL and it's based on one of the latest sketches at Skissedilla...

I've done some dry brushing with a placemat used as a mask, wet brushing (!) on my paper doilies which were cut into quarters for my layout corners...

...of course a bright and funky layout calls for some bright and funky embellishments!  So I've got some lovely Purple Pumpkin goodies on here - two different sized Spotty Dotty buttons (layered together and squished), a small apple button (it's peeking) and I used some Red Baker's Twine to make my little bunting.

I made the "O" for my title out of a cheap smiley face party favour badge.  I pinned in onto my layout, crossed it's eyes (clown style) with a Sharpie pen and then I glued a mini pom-pom nose onto it.  Instant multi-tasking clown!  LOL! :D

I hope my layout has brightened up your day just that bit more!

TFL!

Cheers,
Chantal :)

The Cow Lick - By Crece

Happy Sunday to everyone. Hope you were able to get some crafting done this weekend, I myself have spent today resting. I was in Melbourne at the start of the week and since Ive been back I have been sick. Not the best thing when to children are on school holidays, however I did manage to do a quick layout to share with you today.

This layout is of my youngest son Fletch at our friends farm. They have cows that like to come down from the back paddock and visit. This one cow seen on the layout thought she would have a good ol lick of Fletchy's hand when he was patting her nose. It was so funny...

and a close up of some Purple Pumpkin yummies...

I love doilies and the Purple Pumpkin ones are great with all the colours they come in you are sure to find one that will suit any layout even a male pages. This brown one came from a vintage pack i got a little while ago.  The vinyl cogs are always a favourite again great to use on boy layouts or even as a base for a flower, here I have placed my cow image over them so they just look like shapes. Hidden behind the photos is a strip of orange tags from Purple Pumpkin. They are a great little addition to a layout in place of a strip of plain paper or cardstock and look good with the little ticket numbers just popping out like I have done on this layout. The tickets come in a range of  8 colours and can be found all the time at the Purple Pumpkin Shop, as well as the awesome coloured bakers twine. -Check them out!

"Today is worth remembering" By Vicky

Hello everyone!!!

I had a play this week with palette #117 at "The Color Room"! I fell in love with these colors and I had to play! They are so inspirational! I used the sketch from Creative Scrappers #215.

This is what I came up with...

It was the perfect chance to use all my gorgeous fuscia and orange PP buttons, doilies, tickets & twine!!!!

This masked butterfly is from Imaginarium Designs! I love it! Can you see the PP doted button, the ticket and the yummy fuscia doily??? Just LOVE that stuff!!!

Here is another button and the lovely twine! You can find it in every color at the PP shop!!!

For the background, I have used gesso over a stencil (for texture) Glimmer mist, stamping, Glimmer glaze, rub ons, distress inks and pearls!!!

I really enjoyed the process and had lots of fun making this!!!
I hope you will try it out and play with your mists too!
Have a great weekend!!!
