Twine It Up - By Sar

I'm more than happy to put twine on every layout I create! Wrap it, twist it, staple it, tie it in a bow....whatever! It doesn't matter what you do with twine, its gonna look fab!!

Here's my latest layout, using a gorgeous felt embellishment along with lots of twine, looped and twisted and made a feature on my page.

Pirate kit and apples - Hayles

So here we are at the start of the long weekend and it is raining here, so I apologise for my dark pics, but in saying that it is PERFECT weather for scrapping!!

So I thought I would share a couple of layouts I have done using one of PP Pirate kits and one of the new apple buttons and as you will see they can be quite easily used for both boy and girl layouts.





first off I have used the black doily which I cut in half and placed under the journalling card and then added a apple button on top, which matches perfectly with this kits colours. I finished it off with some twine around the button (Thanks Belinda, love this idea!!)



next I used the satin flower, also from the kit, popped off the button and placed the heart chipboard on the flower then re-stuck the button back on.



Moving on to the next layout....



I have used another button out of the pirate kit which I have placed on top of the flower I made and also I have used one of the hessian lollipops and a blue spotty button from my stash.



So I hope you find plenty of time to scrap this long weekend and don't forget to have a go at this month's sketch....

Flowers with Melinda....

Good Morning Purple Pumpkin fans :)))

Hope you all have been having a great week!!! I have been busy creating again...this time with the gorgeous PP flowers that Sam creates!!

I love flowers, even with 2 boys I still manage to sneak a flower or two on every layout...shhhh...but I can't help it!! lol!!

So here they are....

First up is the gorgeous Denim Flower...swoon...my fav :))) This one has the red spotty button but is also sold in green, blue, orange or a fancy button.

Distressed the edges by pulling at them...it really ruffles them up and adds depth to your layout! Give it a try next time...I promise you, you will LOVE it!

June is a very busy birthday month in our family so I made a few cards.
A card using the felt and lace flower....they are so so elegant.

Another card using a Satin rolled edge flower :))

And I just adore these gorgeous Layered Vintage Chenille Lollipop Flowers! They come in an assortment of colours.  The sweet banner is made from some red and white twine which also is in the shop.

I also have a few layouts to share which were my Creative Team samples for Kraft It Up and Stuck Sketches.

Kraft It Up challenge:

Love the bright coloured doileys that Sam sells.  I've poked one underneath my rolled edge.

And another cute critter button on top of a bright blue doiley.

Stuck Sketch challenge:
I have mounted a bright green spotty button onto a chipboard cog.

Hope that wasn't too much of an overload for you all...I must admit...I am Purple Pumpkin MAD at the moment...lol!!

Buttons, Buttons, Buttons everywhere with Anne

I have to say I love the combination of lots of buttons and on this LO I have a space theme so some of the Purple Pumpkin Space buttons were perfect.
I also love the fact you can mount a button on some foam tape and then put a pin from under it. I also used some of the Purple Pumpkin Twine to make my bunting which is under the 'boys'.

Here is the final LO.

This LO was crated as we went to visit the Gallery of Modern Art and they had a special 'thing' where you answered questions and got to join the 'alien nation'. Hope you are all having a great day and hopefully all your new Purple Pumpkin goodies will be arriving soon.

Fairies and Monsters with Belinda

Good morning!!!

Belinda here today with a couple of layouts to share. This first one features a photo of my little fairy on the farm...

...I used heaps of gorgeous PP embellishments on this layout. In the bottom cluster I have used a pink yoyo flower, a pink chenille lollipop, half a large pink doily, half a lime green doily, a gorgeous girl button and some pink and white twine. In the top cluster is the other half of the lime green doily, an owl button and some more pink and white twine.

...and now for the monsters!! Here's a layout I created using Palette 61 at The Color Room. The focus really needed to be on the photo for this one so I simply added a couple of clusters of embellishments to frame it. I have used spotty buttons, two mini doilies and some blue and white twine...

Mix & Match by Sar

I was lucky enough to attend an all day/night crop at my LSS this weekend just gone. After a hectic week and not having much mojo I pulled out some Pagemaps to kickstart my mojo. And kickstart it did! I ended up with six layouts and a card for the 8 or so hours I was there. Gotta be happy with that!

Here's a couple that I did with a variety of new products, once again being able to mix & match some Purple Pumpkin embellies in with them.

No. 1 Customer - using the latest We're Savvy Kit. The colours just matched the Apple Kit perfectly and I have also added in a Purple Pumpkin flower next to my big flower to make my cluster bigger.


New Years Water Fight using a gorgeous 100 Days of Summer collection kit from Simple Stores. As the other girls have done in previous posts, I carefully cut the middle out of my doily so as to utilise it in two areas of my page!


And a closeup, how perfectly does that extra big button fit in the middle of the doiley!
